What's an agrihood?

It’s a new kind of neighborhood. Quite simply, an Agrihood is a neighborhood built within a working farm. It unites agricultural land use with residents who desire a greater quality of life, thinking beyond simple urban revitalization and addressing our need for reconnection. This type of neighborhood combines the health benefits of living in connection to nature, the emotional well-being experienced in a community, and the positive environmental impact of local, small-scale organic agriculture.

Less than 40 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge, not a single traffic light to the beach,
and just minutes to historic downtown Petaluma lies Live Oak Farm, Sonoma County’s
first agrihood – where agriculture meets neighborhood. This bucolic 30 acre, fourteen
home community offers a simple and healthy lifestyle centered around an organic
working farm.
Just beyond the main gate, the newly paved private lane passes the property’s original
barns leading to unique, 2-acre homesites designed for optimal privacy, amazing views,
and lots of open space. Each home will offer an experience of country living: sunsets
and Sonoma Mountain views; fresh vegetable fields and fruit orchards; vineyards and
rolling hills, which all change in harmony with the seasons.
Construction of 8 new custom homes is set to begin in Spring 2023. Floor plans and
